It’s almost October and there is already a noticeable increase in traffic on our local roads. Perhaps the timid hurricane season is to blame, but it’s obvious that our seasonal residents have begun their return to their winter homes in southwest Florida.
You may not like the extra traffic that they bring, but after a lean summer, many of our service industry workers are ready for the influx and the extra cash that it brings.
To all my fellow year round friends – take a deep breath and learn to appreciate our seasonal friends. They’re good for business and plenty of them are friendly. Don’t forget to set your clock a few minutes early to make up for the heavier traffic!
